We are aware that our fragile ecosystem and local communities need our help. As part of our philosophy, we donate a part of our profits to projects in Peru that help to create awareness, protect the ecosystem and teach people how to become better eco-citizens. Nunatura has as one of its main objectives to give back to the communities and the environment. For this purpose we have launched the “We Care” an initiative to donate 1% of net profits to the communities we work with. The money returns to its source in the form of technical assistance and training to learn to work better with the unique resources we have.
We are true believers of the sustainable economic development model, where as many parts of the economic chain profit from our operations helping us to protect the environment, share growth and a common vision of securing our natural resources for future generations. We do not mind paying more for our products, as long as we know that the suppliers and companies we work with are involved in social programs. Poverty is a big issue in Peru and we want to be part of the group that helps to tackle this issue.
Companies who have the certification of FAIR TRADE are a priority for us. Be part of this change and help us to eliminate poverty and improve education. Our projects are selected among three themes: Conservation, Education/Training, Poverty reduction.
